Members of the Executive Purposeful Ladies Ministry (EPLM) paid a visit to Kwabenya SHS on Friday 21/6/19 to share on Career guidance and counselling with the students. As part of the delivery the ladies shared experiences on various career paths and donated assorted elective books to the school’s library. This was done specially to encourage the girl child to work hard and aspire higher in their desired career.
The gesture formed part of the Ministry’s efforts to reach out to youths (especially the girl child) in the second cycle institutions to encourage them and also serve as role models. In her presentation, the Founder/ President of EPLM, Mrs. Mina Lassey, shared the factors to consider when choosing a career and emphasized the role of God in the choice of a career path as demonstrated in Jeremiah 1:5. She finally advised to students to work hard and never give up on their goals. With determination, consistency and a strong focus on God, they can achieve great results.
As a part of fulfilling its mission and vision, EPLM extends love, care and support to youths (girl child) and the less privileged in society. It is against this background that they extend support to second cycle institutions to encourage the students to work hard and also find hope and peace in God. Assorted elective subjects ‘text books were donated to the school’s library. Receiving the items on behalf of the school. were Assistant Headmistress and Master, Madam Dorothy Parker and Mr. Isaac Ofoi Tugbenyo and thanked EPLM for the show of love, kindness and support for the students. She called on other similar ministries and groups to imitate this visit to encourage the students as a complement to the hard work of teachers.
EPLM is a non-denominational network of ladies who have come together to fellowship, share ideas and experiences to equip them to prosper, thrive and reach their full potential in God. The Ministry also seeks to raise women leaders to live in full submission to Christ as Lord, live, love, and leave a legacy by achieving their God-given potential
